Scott Beal with his big BrownImagine fishing on the bank of Lake Shasta, enjoying a quiet sunset with nature all around you while you wait for next hook-up, or maybe seeing the excitement of one of your children catching their first fish. With the abundant variety of fishing opportunities Lake Shasta offers, there is something for everyone, whether you're an expert fly fisherman or you're a beginner simply getting away with the family for the weekend.

Lake Shasta is renowned for the quality of brown trout that come into the lake from the many rivers that feed it. Our 7th Annual Trout Derby, October 2007, was another huge success!

Don with his GrandsonLake Shasta is California's premier spotted bass fishery, these fish are the toughest freshwater bass you can find. The lake has king salmon, smallmouth bass and nearby Salt Creek Inlet is known for its catfish. You can flyfish for wild trout on the nearby Upper Sacramento River or choose to just soak a line off our private dock.

If you are a member of a bass or fishing club, we have space for you. Give us a call and let us tell you what we have to offer.
